The Bridge from Rage to Reason Joyce Divinyi, Psychotherapist, Author and Lecturer from Peachtree City is proud to present her latest training program. Bridge From Rage To Reason: Coaching Traumatized Children to Think Before They Act. |
|
This program was specifically written to assist foster parents dealing with children in their care. However, this manual also has broad appeal to all parents, educators, day care workers and all those dealing with children. Understanding a simple model of brain structure as it relates to intense emotional behavior will assist educators in helping students learn how to express emotions appropriately without losing control. The program explains why punishment for angry outburst and emotional meltdowns generally does not improve behavior and can even make it worse. The emotions/thinking/action (E-T-A™) model discussed is a valuable tool in the process of moving wounded children from rageful reactions to reason and appropriate action. For additional information on this program or any of the other specialized courses offered to the general public, please visit “The Human Connection” website at: www.thehumanconnection.net. Ms. Divinyi is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor. She has a private practice in individual and family therapy in Peachtree City, Georgia. She has trained both parents and professionals working with children in a wide variety of settings from schools to juvenile courts throughout the United States. Her books, tapes and training programs apply the same model and concepts and have been widely accepted by all those who have come in contact with Joyce and work.
