Teaching Bravery: Fostering Autonomy and
Resilience in Children and Teens with Intense Fears and Anxiety-- This
training session is designed to help parents and professionals identify
and deal with symptoms of extreme anxiety in children and adolescents.
It outlines a step-by-step process to help children understand and
overcome their fears by using skills, strategies and fear reducing
techniques. It provides guidelines for adults working or living with
these children to help them develop a sense of confidence and bravery
where fear and anxiety had once been a constant companion.
Teaching Respect: How to Train Children and
Adolescents to Behave Respectfully Even When They Are Frustrated, Angry
or Bored—This program instructs adults in techniques and strategies for
defining respect in concrete terms and motivating young people to behave
in a deferential manner. It promotes awareness of other people’s
emotions, boundaries and personal space. It provides guidelines for
developing a respect-oriented environment, regardless of a child’s
at-home training or lack thereof.
